Private stay!

Trip was great! Home was inviting and modern with nice, quaint touches throughout. Off the grid and private too. Nature and environment were just what my wife and I were looking for. Trail to the nearby stream was a fun, short hike. Highly recommend. We wanted to stay an extra night!

Cozy Getaway

Grey Duck is the coziest of cozy cabins for a winter weekend. We have stayed twice so far this year and fall more in love each time we are there.

Amazing Location

Amazing home and location! We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet woods, snowshoeing on the trails, fishing in the river and the beautiful home! The hosts were wonderful!

Booked another weekend!

We had the loveliest time. I feel completely rejuvenated. Whether you want to stay in, or go out, Grey Duck has it covered. They had awesome tips on places to go, to eat, to hike, anything you could imagine. The place itself was extremely comfortable, warm, beautifully decorated. I can’t wait to go back in the fall- I’ve already booked a weekend.

Cute and Clean!

The most perfect modern cabin, just what we needed to get away from the cities! The place was so cute and clean. Loved the little extra touches- snowshoes, a telescope, and a few games.

Didnt want to leave :)

We had a wonderful wintery weekend at Grey Duck. The driveway and paths were cleared prior to our arrival, despite the 10”+ of snow that came down the night before. The house is so cozy and charming that we didn’t want to leave. We’ve already booked a stay for the coming fall season!

Modern and cozy

Grey Duck lives up to the hype and more. The cabin is new and modern but very cozy. It's pretty far off the beaten path so if you are looking for a weekend away from the outside world with plenty to do this is the place for you. The cabin is stocked with everything you'd need in the kitchen, the bathroom/shower is very nice and the beds are all comfortable. It's a short hike to the Manitou River which was perfect for snowshoeing. My party and I liked it so much we booked another weekend while we were still there to experience the cabin in the summer. Highly recommended!

Cozy and wonderful

My husband and I spent two nights up here with our dog, my brother, and his wife. If you are looking to get away from the world for a few days, this is a great spot. Everything to make meals is in the kitchen (I didn't see a microwave, though), so we brought food to make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We brought board games and a Nintendo Switch and spent the weekend playing games and ignoring the rest of the world. There are four pairs of snowshoes, so we went snowshoeing. The dog found the path (generally), and that took us down to the lake. It was nice to be able to bring our dog. This is kind of like staying at a friend's cabin where you have to clean up after yourself a little, which is fine. Dogs aren't allowed on the furniture, so I would say it's more dog-tolerant than dog-friendly, but our pup had a great time regardless. She loved the woods and the fresh snow! This would be great for a family of four to get away for a long weekend. There are two bedrooms- one with a king bed and one with two twin beds. We were cozy and comfortable during our winter stay with the fireplace. The WiFi worked well for puttering around on our phones, and there was enough seating for everyone in the main room. I would come up here to get away from the world again!

Incredible Trip

Our stay was incredible. Beyond the prompt communication, perfect instructions, lovely interiors and gorgeous destination— there were so many incredible details that made our stay special. We stayed over Christmas this year. My family has gone through several difficult tragedies this year and we truly needed a new place to experience the holiday and grey duck gave us the fresh start we needed to make the holidays feel warm and allow us to be together. Myself, my mother and my little sister walked Grey Duck’s private trail every day and each time we discovered new and beautiful things to see. We loved the four seasons restaurant in town and there are so many incredible hikes in the area— we wish we could have stayed longer. This place is magical and I cannot be more greatful on behalf of my family for the chance it gave us to just be. Thank you, from the very bottom of our hearts for the lovely experience, we couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas if we tried. This place is perfect.

Great Stay

Thanks for a great stay. Your cabin is really cool. Neat how you have created an off the grid living experience while providing such a nice space. Thanks for your help with the timely plowing. Best of luck!
